The winter training workshop scheduled for February 7, 2020 has been POSTPONED due to the anticipated inclement weather and has been rescheduled for Friday, March 13th.

The Executive Board welcomes you to the MEGFOA website and hope that you find it informative and a useful tool as you execute your duties as a government finance officer. If you are not a current member of MEGFOA, we are a local affiliate of the national Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), as well as the New England States GFOA, which includes the states of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island.
We strive to promote and improve professional financial management at all levels of government, within the State of Maine, by providing training opportunities and a clearinghouse for the exchange of information and solutions to common problems. We also work to strengthen the quality of government administration through advocating favorable local, state and federal legislation and policy.
We also welcome our non-government partners as members, who graciously provide their time to present professional training sessions, funding for events, and act as resources to all of our members. They are an important part of the MEGFOA.
